About the Role

Fadhili International School is seeking a passionate, innovative and dedicated ICT Teacher to join our growing academic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging ICT and Computer Science lessons that develop learners’ digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity and responsible use of technology.

The teacher will work with learners across different year groups and contribute to the wider academic and co-curricular life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging ICT and Computer Science lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
* Teach learners practical computer and technology skills appropriate to their age and ability.
* Develop learners’ understanding of programming, computational thinking, digital literacy and emerging technologies where appropriate.
* Use practical, project-based and learner-centred approaches to make ICT lessons engaging and relevant.
* Integrate technology effectively into classroom learning and other areas of the curriculum.
* Assess, record and report learners’ progress accurately and provide appropriate feedback.
* Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and differentiation.
* Prepare teaching resources, assignments, projects, assessments and examinations.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
* Promote responsible, safe and ethical use of technology, including digital citizenship and online safety.
* Support learners in developing creativity, innovation, research and problem-solving skills.
* Participate in school clubs, activities, educational trips, competitions and other co-curricular programmes.
* Support the development and effective use of the school’s ICT resources and facilities.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of the academic team.
* Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to parent communication where required.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events.
* Carry out other reasonable academic and pastoral responsibilities assigned by the school leadership.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience


* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, ICT, Computer Science, Computer Studies, Education (ICT) or a related field.

* Recognised teaching qualification or relevant teacher training.

* Demonstrable teaching experience, preferably in a school environment.

* Good understanding of ICT and Computer Science concepts and their practical application.

* Strong computer literacy and confidence using modern educational technology.

* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical and learner-centred lessons.

* Good classroom management and communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teaching team.

* Commitment to learner development, safeguarding and professional standards.

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.


Added Advantages


The following will be considered an advantage:


* Mathematics as an additional teaching subject.

* Experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum, particularly Cambridge ICT or Computer Science.

* Experience teaching programming or coding.

* Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Scratch or other age-appropriate platforms.

* Experience with robotics, coding clubs, STEM or technology-based projects.

* Experience integrating AI and emerging technologies into education.

* Experience with digital learning platforms, smart boards and other educational technologies.

* Experience preparing learners for Cambridge assessments.

* Previous experience working in an international school.

* Participation in ICT, STEM, robotics, coding or innovation competitions.
