About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Chinese Language Teacher to develop learners’ Mandarin language proficiency while fostering an appreciation of Chinese culture in a dynamic international learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and teach engaging Mandarin lessons across relevant year groups.
* Develop learners’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
* Integrate Chinese culture into classroom learning.
* Prepare learners for Cambridge language assessments where applicable.
* Use creative and technology-enhanced teaching strategies.
* Assess learner progress and provide timely feedback.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the language programme.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
* Teaching qualification recognised in Kenya.
* Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin.
* Strong English communication skills.
* Experience teaching Mandarin to children is preferred.
* Cambridge curriculum experience is an added advantage.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
